STUCK IN TIME
I bear,
The string, the sting of a pulled heart,
A grisly gory, an unglorified act,
A glaring share of pained love,
How much pull can my love take?
How much stretch for my heart to yield?
I bore,
I...domesticated,
I...abused,
My shared love...painstaking,
My showered care...heart-aching,
Oh, what ordeal my heart's heart put me through,
Please, chain him already.
I loose,
A tear upon his heart, I did,
A tear to extend the unpleasant gory,
I heeded my plea to heal,
My place of solitude...a must I find.
I shattered,
A million places I searched my pieces,
A thousand places, a discovered shattered piece for each piece,
Alas, in hundred hundreds, my heels take heal,
In tens of tens, a teach to stitch.
I heal,
Stick, poke, stick...a process began,
Stick, poke, stick...a thread in agony,
Stick, poke, stick...the clicks of time,
Stick, poke, stick...I relieved each pain,
Stick, poke, stick...my past, a past,
Stick, poke, stick...he must I forget.
I reflect,
A broken me, my heart restored,
A broken me, my all to him,
A broken me, his absence daunting,
A redefined me, his presence, my renewed joy.
We rebuilt,
Like the return of two sojourns,
From a vacation to islands of beaches,
A renewed act of love,
For our love, we shared in compromised acts,
But this love, we share, in truth, in kind,
We remain stuck in time,
We remain our true love.
