GHOST CRY
I cried at the smile of the grave,
stared in mute
with unblinking gazes
and weary searching eyes
affixed to its welcoming gestures.
_Shivers..._
I see...
a sign of peace - no, just a cross
the priest gestures.
Sprinkles,
Sprinkles,
salt-water on sand crumbs
_Tasteless..._
Roses soaked
widowed behind
orphaned
Heart beats - pounding
Eyes shut - darkness
No - not me,
but them
I see them - they don't see me
No! - a yell
audibly inaudible
a #GhostCry
_Resonating silence_
in this lonely grave.
I see now
all here
just for me
The weeping dead for the living
_vice versa_
"Till we meet ~again~ soon"
for now I'm alone
with my boxed friend,
No friend in the grave
For now, it is my turn
Tomorrow, awaits your turn!
Oh you...
