A NEW DAY - THE LAST TESTAMENT OF CARL

And in those days,
I saw the tides caress the brests of the oceans
...with its deep, gentle and calm strokes
I witnessed dry soils smooch the droplets of rain
...and the loud moans of thunder chasing sparks of lightning
I marveled as the twinkles questioned the falls of eves
...thus piercing through the thickness of its darkness until the morning dawned
with the smiles of the sun warming the hearts of man - a new day!

In those days,
I cheered at the awesomeness of my maker
in the elements....
.....earth, fire, water and wind
I embraced the gifts most dear and precious
.....family & friends
I stood in awe to the nothingness of man,
who lost in his foolishness, thought his wisdom compared to the creations of God.

In those days,
I pondered the battles of man over man
I pondered the unceasing cruelty of man over man
in search of honour, title, and glory.
Although "we were made simple..." the good book did say,
but man's esophagus ever remained stuck in a single nut & tie - in search of air with wars & battles unending.

Alas,

.....my goodbye time arrives.
I thee, say my hello as a beautiful ash of grey
in free flowing waters
- allowing my presence,
sight and embrace the beautiful sky of blue
than stuck in a lone soggy box backfilled in muddy carved red of clay & silt!

I am free not dead!
       Never till we meet again...
...only look up to the sky
                       - for there dwells my living presence!"

Family,
Friends,

My time come,
that I answer to my Father's call,
Shed no tears!
I repeat, shed no tears!

For in the course of my breath,
I lived my life...I lived my best
I played my part...I made my mark

Earth, like my prison,
I had my time...I did my time

And now,
most importantly, I am free,
I am alive and breathing in my eternal home
never to be imprisoned again.

No matter the cause of death,
I died happy,
I died a free man

For right now,
I rest in the winds,
I rest in the oceans and in the sands of time.

Adios earth,
Shed no tears...I died happy

...of all things I did in life,
I'll love to be remembered as thus;
- a loving husband [prospect],
- a caring father [prospect],
- a family builder,
- a true friend,
- a devout Christian [Catholic]
- and importantly, a man of letters [a Poet]
for these were worth my time spent on earth
...these made my earth-time a beautiful prison, conscious to reside.

Now...
...take a deep breath, look up to the skies, feel the earth, embrace the waters,
for there I am!

Say me well...
...never "till we meet again!"
for I sleep now to awake into a new day!
I sleep now, to awake into my new day!
